Formed 1991.

The club was formed in 1991 as Brisbane United and competed for two years in the NSL after the demise of Brisbane United the name was changed to the Brisbane Strikers who competed in the National Soccer League between 1994 and 2004.

The Brisbane Strikers won the National League during the 1996/97 season, then known as the Ericsson Cup in front of a record sell out crowd of over 40,000. The Strikers won the final 2-0 defeating Sydney United.

After the dismantling of the NSL they competed very successfully in the Brisbane Premier League and in their first year they reached the Semi-Final, the next year they won the premiership and the year after were runners-up.

They were inaugural members of the Queensland State League in 2008.
